Traveller Armor[edit]

Traveller armors are easy to partially don and remove, which allow greater flexibility.

The traveller item template can be added to any medium or heavy armor. It alters the armor in such a way to be more easily removed or donned, and even do so partially, making the final result less defensive but more mobile.

Requirements[edit]

The creator of a traveller item must have at least 6 ranks in Craft [armors].

Traveller Armor[edit]

Cost: 100 gp

Affinities: None.

Special: A traveller armor can be partially removed or donned in such a way to allow greater mobility at the cost of defense. One can wear half the armor, cutting in half the time needed to don, don hastily or remove the armor, making the armor count as a lighter category (medium armor becomes light and heavy becomes medium). Switching from normal armor and traveller armor takes half the time as donning or removing it. The armor weights only half its standard weight, and the other half weight does not count against you actual load.

This could allow the user not to be slowed down or fatigued if sleeping in armor (if the armor becomes light), or to benefit from the Endurance feat if the armor becomes medium.

Armor in travelling mode gives only half the normal AC bonus armor (not counting any enhancement), rounded down, and increases the maximum Dex modifier by 1, while decreasing the armor penalty by 1 and the arcane failure chance by 10%.
