If you wish upon a star, you can kill both near and far.
The wishing star rod acts as a +1 heavy mace, and makes sparkling dust and tiny bell sounds when swung. While held you may use prestidigitation at will. You are also capable of changing from any outfit or armor to any other within your reach or in a bag on your person as a standard action.
Once per day you can make a wish on the rod (with the vocal components of "I wish for..."). You can duplicate any spell of 3rd level or less, paying its casting time and expensive components as if you were actually casting the spell. It can be from any class list of a full casting class (up to 9th level spells), and you use your highest mental ability modifier for DCs. Caster level is equal to your class level, and you cannot cast if you don't have the minimum ability score or caster level needed. Making a wish on the rod causes the star upon it to grow dim.
There is a 5% chance that the wish goes awry, and be subject to the effects of misspell.
Once per week, you can wish for the rod to whisk you to safety. This mimics a travel token, but deposits you randomly 100 miles away.
The wish ability does not naturally recover itself with time. Instead the rod must be exposed to the night sky for at least 1 hour before it recharges, and it still can only be used once per day regardless if it is recharged or not.
If limited wish, wish, or miracle us cast with this rod as a focus, the cost for their expensive components is reduced by 10%.
Prerequisites: Craft Rod, minor wish, prestidigitation.
Cost to Create: 7,312 gp, 560 EXP, 14 days.

Summary | This rod has a glass star tip at the end. It looks fragile, even silly, but is durable enough to be swung and can grant your minor wishes. + |
