Zu Wei Practitioner[edit]

The energy that makes and remakes us can be finely tuned and focused. It is through the Healing Force that we hone our mind and talents, inward and outward.
—Unknown Zu Wei Master

In the land of Shu'a, the Zu Wei Monastery is known for the Way of the Healing Force (also known as Zu Wei). This unique discipline focuses on psionic healing, a normally very selfish practice and turns it outward. The Practitioners of the Zu Wei quickly learn how to spread healing to others and become very effective at undoing wounds and relieving others of crippling conditions. While the monastery eventually closed, its teaching survived and became somewhat widespread in some circles.

Class Features[edit]

All of the following are class features of the Zu Wei Practitioner.

Manifesting: At each level, you gain power points per day, an increase in manifester level, and new powers as if you had also gained a level in a manifesting class to which you belonged before adding the prestige class level. You do not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained. If you had more than one manifesting class before becoming a Zu Wei Practitioner, you must decide which class to add each level for the purpose of determining powers, manifester level, and powers known.

Healing Force (Ex): A Zu Wei Practitioner can use any Psychometabolism (Healing) power with a target of "Personal" to "One Willing Creature" with a range of "Close".

Zu Wei Proficiency (Ex): When a Zu Wei Practitioner manifest a Psychometabolism (Healing) that heal hit point damage, she heal an additional amount of hit point equal to her Wisdom bonus.

Touch Treatment (Su): A Zu Wei Practitioner of 2nd level is capable of relieving a variety of conditions with a skilled touch. The Zu Wei Practitioner can touch a creature as a standard action to remove one of the following condition: Blinded, Dazed, Dazzled, Deafened, Exhausted, Fatigued, Nauseated, Paralyzed, Sickened, Staggered and Stunned. She cannot heal a condition that was self-inflicted or is inherent to the target. The target also heals a number of hit points equal to the Zu Wei Practitioner's Wisdom bonus.

She can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + her Wisdom modifier, and may use it on herself as a swift action.

Zu Wei Scholar: A 3rd level Zu Wei Practitioner learns a single power of the Psychometabolism (Healing) discipline from the Egoist or VitalistPathfinder power list. Whenever she gains a level she may change the chosen power.

Nerve Pinch (Ex): A Zu Wei Practitioner of 4th level is able to draw upon her knowledge of humanoid anatomy to induce partial paralysis. As a standard action she may attempt a touch attack or unarmed strike, if it hit the struck creature must make a Fortitude save (DC 10 + 1/2 Character level + Wisdom modifier) or fall Prone and become Stunned for 1 round. She may also deliver the nerve pinch with a ranged touch attack when using the telekinetic maneuver power. Once she uses this ability on a creature, whether it fails its save or not it is immune to further attempts for 24 hours.

Zu Wei Mastery: A 5th level Zu Wei Practitioner has achieved a high level of proficiency in the Art of Zu Wei. She reduces the power point cost of manifesting any Psychometabolism (Healing) power by 2, this does not allow her to augment a power further than normal, it simply reduces its final cost and cannot reduce it below 1.
