Superstitious Barbarian
You don't quite trust mages and gain benefits against them while raging.
Class: Barbarian
Level: 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th, 9th, 12th, 14th, 15th, 17th, 18th
Replaces: Improved Uncanny Dodge, Indomitable Will, Tireless Rage, Trap Sense, Uncanny Dodge
Benefit: You gain several mage-countering class features in place of your uncanny dodge abilities, indomitable will, tireless rage, and trap sense, as shown below.
Spellcasting Harrier: At 2nd level, the superstitious barbarian gains spell resistance equal to 10 + HD while raging. He cannot drop his spell resistance while raging unless he can perform actions which involve concentration, or until 14th level. This replaces uncanny dodge.
Magic Resistance: At 3rd level, a superstitious barbarian receives a +1 morale bonus against spells and spell-like abilities. The bonus increases by +1 at 6th level and every third level beyond. This ability replaces trap sense.
Raging Spell Resistance: At 5th level, the superstitious barbarian receives Spellcasting Harrier as a bonus feat. He does not need to qualify for the feat. This replaces improved uncanny dodge.
Break Magic's Grasp: At 14th level, the superstitious barbarian wrestles out of magic's hold on him just as easily as wrestling out of a grapple. As a move action he can gain another saving throw against any magical effect which has a duration and saving throw. He can't use this if unable to take a move action, such as being dead or unable to control their own body.
In addition, he may now toggle the spell resistance granted by raging spell resistance as a free action, allowing him to drop it for useful spells. This replaces indomitable will.
Untouchable Mind: At 17th level, the superstitious barbarian gains the effect of mind blank whenever raging. If affected by a mind-affecting effect while not raging, he may expend a rage attempt as a free action to become immune for an instant and negating the effect. This replaces tireless rage.
