A thin shell of water covers your hand, allowing you to dip it into the molten metal, however briefly.
When this spell is active any Instantaneous fire damage you take is negated, after which this spell is discharged. Non-instant sources of damaged are delayed for 1 round (and the spell is still discharged). At caster level 8th and every four levels beyond, the spell can negate one more instance of fire damage before being discharged (maximum 5 times at caster level 20th).
