Amulet of Armor Skin
|Activation:||Standard or Immediate; see text|
With a loud clang you are covered in shining silver metal, rendering you nearly invulnerable.
This amulet allows you to enter a metallic form for up to 1 round/HD per day (the time need not be continuous). In metal form, you are immune to [Light] effects as you scatter the light off your body. You gain damage resistance 15, which applies to all forms of damage, not merely physical damage. You are immune to blindness, critical hits, ability score damage, deafness, disease, drowning, electricity, poison, stunning, and all spells or attacks that affect your physiology or respiration, because you have no physiology or respiration while this spell is in effect. In addition, you take only half damage from acid and fire of all kinds. However, you also become vulnerable to all special attacks that affect iron golems.
Your speed is reduced to half normal speed, and gain an armor check penalty of -8. Your unarmed attacks deal damage equal to a club sized for you (1d4 for Small characters or 1d6 for Medium characters), and you are considered armed when making unarmed attacks. Your weight increases by a factor of ten, causing you to sink in water like a stone. However, you could survive the crushing pressure and lack of air at the bottom of the ocean—at least until the spell duration expires.
You can activate this amulet as an immediate action, but if you do it lasts only 1 round and consumes 5 rounds of use per day. The amulet only works if it is attuned to a user for 24 hours.
