Your ears popped as the pressure changed. It would be the least of your problems soon.
The target is crushed by the entire atmosphere rushing inward resulting in greater and greater dangers and threats. On a successful Fortitude save the creature merely experiences a violent pressure change that deafens the target for 1 hour and deals 4d6 points of damage. However on a failed save they begin to suffer the following effects.

| 1 | 4d6 | Target is permanently deafened, and treated as under medium encumbrance from thickness of air. |
| 2 | 6d6 | Target is treated as under heavy encumbrance. Oxygen toxicity occurs, rendering the target confused for the duration of the spell. |
| 3 | 8d6 | Target is suffocating and must hold their breath, and is knocked prone by crushing weight. All movement speeds cut in half. |
| 4 | 12d6 | Air compression causes heating dealing an additional 12d6 fire damage and turning air around target opaque, blinding them. Target is staggered for 1d6 rounds. |
| 5 | N/A | The target is destroyed, crushed into a ball. |
A successful save deals 5d6 damage from pressure and negates progressing down the chart but does not stop the spell effect, while a failed save drops down the chart by one and deals the listed pressure damage. Creatures or objects killed or destroyed by this spell are crushed into a crude sphere, destroying their body.
