Biohazard Rod[edit]

The bright yellow rod with black runic marks on it possesses twelve crystal beads around its surface. As you use the rod, the beads seem to fill up with unknown liquids or drain away.

This rod can be used to cure diseases and poisons. On touch, the rod can activate the effect of remove disease or neutralize poison, and when it does so one of its crystals fills up with a sample of the poison or disease removed. If the rod has one or more of its crystals filled it can then apply one of its stored hazards as a touch attack, provoking the saving throw associated with the disease or poison (diseases come into effect immediately, as per contagion). In fact, this is the only way to discharge the rod of disease and poison, by transferring it to another creature. The biohazard rod can store up to 12 instances of disease or poison before it is full and must be discharged.

Prerequisites: Craft Rod, contagion, remove disease, neutralize poison.
Cost to Create: 11,000 gp, 880 EXP, 11 days.
