Canes are used for supporting the body, typically in cases where one leg has been crippled or hampered in some manner and the person needs the additional stability while walking. Canes provide a +2 bonus on ability checks made to resist being bull rushed or tripped when standing on the ground (but not when climbing, flying, riding, or otherwise not standing firmly on the ground) and a +1 circumstance bonus on Balance checks. Canes are held in one hand and pressed against the ground for support. They can be used as improvised clubs in times of need, though you cannot support yourself if it is used as a weapon.
Canes are typically made of wood and weigh 2 lbs. They cost 5 gp.
