Power Points: Psion/Wilder 7, Judge 5

A single use does only one of the following:

  • Harden Ground: Change normal mud or sand into soft stone (sandstone or a similar mineral) permanently. Creatures beneath the surface can attempt to escape the area; all who fail to escape receive 4d8 bludgeoning damage (Reflex save DC15 to resist).
  • Soften Ground: Change natural, uncut or unworked rock of any sort into an equal volume of mud permanently. This has no effect on magical or worked stone (Reflex DC15). Creatures above the surface can attempt to escape the area; all who fail to escape sink until hip deep, reducing its speed to 10 feet and causing a –2 penalty on attack rolls and AC (Strength DC15 to resist). If this is cast upon the ceiling of a cavern or tunnel, the mud falls to the floor and spreads out in a pool at a depth of 5 feet. The falling mud and the ensuing cave-in deal 4d8 bludgeoning damage to anyone caught directly beneath the area (Reflex DC15 for half).

Augment: You can augment this power in one or more of the following ways.

  1. If you spend 2 extra power points (to any of the above or below), the area of effect increases by 5’ in all three dimensions.
  2. If you spend 4 extra power points, moves earth (treat like move earth with the above changes in area).

In addition, for every 2 extra power points you spend to achieve any of these effects, this power’s save DC increases by 1.
