Surely this kitsune-esque cloak and hood would give you illusory powers and stealth. Surely.
When worn, this cloak gives a +6 competence bonus to Move Silently and Hide checks, a fine deal. However the moment you enter a stressful situation there is a 20% chance every round you transform into a smooth stone box for 1 round. As a box you are unable to act and have hardness 8. If you moved last round, you move 1/2 the distance this round as you slide. You also slide down slopes up to 1/2 your movement speed. You have no control over this. Why would anyone make this?
Once you have turned into a box once, you are unable to remove this item short of a remove curse spell or greater effect.
Prerequisites: Craft Wondrous Item, bestow curse, polymorph.
