The dark of the negative energy plane hungers for life, and is naturally drawn it its presence.

You release a 30 ft line of negative energy, dealing 1d8 points of negative energy per two caster levels (maximum 10d8 at 20th). The effect sticks around 1 round, dealing damage to anyone passing through or ending their turn in it (only one instance per round, no matter how many times you pass through). On the next round it advances another 30 ft, able to make up to a 45 degree turn in its direction of travel. This persists until 3 rounds (90 ft of movement) have passed.

Widen Spell extends how far it travels in a single round, while Extend Spell increases how many rounds it will have to move around.
