Deathmark Blast
Eldritch Essence Warlock Dark; 7th

Your eldritch blast carries a death curse which appears as a swirling black mark upon the target, each a portal that brings one closer to death. Once per round a successful deathmark blast attack adds a new mark, up to a maximum of 3 marks. You are aware of the direction and distance of any marked creature. As a standard action you can activate one or more marks, destroying them but dealing your normal eldritch blast damage which each mark discharged (no attack roll is needed). In addition it has a secondary effect you may activate depending on how many marks you detonate.

  • 1 mark: Creature must make a Fortitude save or be staggered for 1 round.
  • 2 marks: Creature must make a Fortitude save or be dazed for 1 round.
  • 3 marks: Creature must make a Fortitude save or die, this is a [Death] effect.

Any successful saves negates the effect but not the damage. Marks may be removed with dispel magic or remove curse.
