The ring clamps onto your finger and for a moment burns an angry cherry red with the smell of smoke. It quickly and harmlessly cools into a dark iron ring fitted with a bright red tetrahedra, and embossed images of a dragon.
This ring grants its wearer the following benefits:
- Resistance to fire 5. Unlike normal, this stacks with other sources of energy resistance.
- All natural and manufactured weapons wielded by the wearer deal an extra +1d6 fire damage. This also applies to creatures grappling the wearer at the start of their turn.
- The wearer casts spells with the fire descriptor with a +1 bonus on caster level.
In addition the user can make sparks as a swift action at will, capable of lighting flammable materials in a 5 ft square in 30 ft but dealing no damage on its own. As a standard action they can create light as a floating torch that can float anywhere within 30 ft of the user as a free action. They can use it to make ranged touch attacks as a torch (only 1d3 fire and no bludgeoning damage) as an attack action.
You may snuff the torch as a standard action and produce smoke in a 15 ft cube centered on it which lasts for 5 rounds. The smoke prevents breathing and provides total concealment. Once snuffed the torch takes 5 rounds before it can be created again.
Prerequisites: Forge Ring, pyrotechnics.
Cost to Create: 5000 gp, 400 EXP, 10 days.
