Evangelist

Most religions need people who spread them, many of these people are clerics, paladins and other believers. The evangelist is a divine bard, they sacrifice their superior arcane spellcasting and some of their later bardic music for slightly weaker divine spellcasting and orating spell.

Class: Bard

Level: 1st-20th

Replaces: An Evangelist Bard lose her normal bard spellcasting, bardic knowledge and any weapon proficiencies beyond simple weapons, additionally she do not get the following bardic music abilities: Countersong, Inspire Greatness, Inspire Heroism

Benefit: An Evangelist Bard gain the following class feature:

Spellcasting: An Evangelist has somewhat weaker spellcasting, but access to a variety of new spells. She prepare and cast divine spells as an Adept, although she has access to both the adept spell list and the bard spell list.

Evangelist Specialization: A 1st level Evangelist gain must choose her specialization, she choose form the following:

Bane of the Undead: You are closer to a cleric, gaining Turn Undead as a Cleric of your class level.

Faithless Deceiver: You spread your faith or advance your own agenda through lies, deceit and hollow encouragement, you may use Bluff instead of Perform when using Bardic Music or Preach. You do not count as having divine spellcasting when doing so for prerequisites, by example a Faithless Deceiver could use ApostateEE or qualify for False Prophet but she do not qualify for a normal divine prestige class.

Sacred Servant: You are devoted to the service of your deity, you gain a domain granted by your deity (including the domain power and domain spells per day).

Spreader of the Faith: You spread the words of your deity far and wide, you count all followers of your deity as a single creature for the purpose of determining how many creature you can affect with your bardic music.

Orator of the Faith (Ex) or (Su): An Evangelist has access to multiple powerful new abilities, using this ability follow the same rule as Bardic Music (in fact it is bardic music) and take form the same pool of uses. She must use Perform (Oratory) for these additional bardic musics.

Gather Crowd (Ex): An evangelist with 6 or more ranks in Perform (Oratory) can gather crowd with a 10 minutes speech or performance. The size of the crowd depends on the local population but is usually dense enough to be considered difficult terrain.

Mass Conversion: An evangelist with 6 or more ranks in Perform (Oratory)

Inspire Dread (Ex): An evangelist with 9 or more ranks in Perform (Oratory) can deliver a soul crushing speech, all hostile creatures within 30 ft. of her take a -2 penalty to saving throws. This is a mind-affecting effect.

Inspire Faith (Ex): An evangelist with 9 or more ranks in Perform (Oratory) can enflame the spirits of her allies, all allies within 30 ft. receive a +2 bonus on all saving throws. This is a mind-affecting effect.

Convert the Unfaithful (Su): An evangelist with 15 or more ranks in Perform (Oratory) can as a full-round action, the evangelist delivers an impassioned speech on the righteousness of her beliefs to a single creature, that creature is allowed a Will save (DC 10 + 1/2 HD + Charisma mod). If the creature succeeds, it is shaken for one round. Otherwise it become permanently charmed for 1 day, at the end of the day if the charm is not broken the creature must attempt another will save. On a success the creature is freed from the Evangelist control, otherwise the charm effect become instantaneous (it may however be removed by a break enchantment spell or stronger effect).

Fast Talker (Ex): A 5th level evangelist may rush a Diplomacy check as a full-round action without the -10 penalty.

True Prophet (Su): A 20th level evangelist may perform a single miracle each day, the XP cost for extraordinary miracles is halved for the Evangelist.
