Familiar-Blooded Spell [Metamagic] Prerequisites: Spellcraft 9 ranks, must have a familiar.Benefit: If your familiar is within 5ft of you when you cast a spell, you can sacrifice them to empower a spell, spell-like ability or supernatural ability. You can subtract one spell level from the cost of the spell for every 9 ranks in Spellcraft you possess, either reducing the spell level increase of metamagic feats applied, or casting a spell you know from a lower-level spell slot.

The familiar almost always dies willingly (Requiring no attack roll and allowing no save), unless it's an unusually-powerful familiar such as a wyrmling dragon.

Using this feat is a violent, cruel act and a good caster must be careful to only use this feat in a last-ditch effort to save themselves or an ally. Example: A 15th-level Wizard could Empower a Fireball for free by killing his familiar in the process.Special: A metamagic feat applied with Familiar-Blooded Spell (Including this feat itself) does not suffer an increase in casting time if the metamagic is added spontaneously. If you possess the Uncaring Master feat, you do not take penalties for your familiar's death, but you can only add 1 level of metamagic for every 12 ranks in Spellcraft you possess.
