The bright red scarf is adorned with golden runes. When active they glow brightly as it trails behind you like a kite's tail.
Often paired with robe of the journeyman in order to glide after leaping, the featherwind scarf can cast updraftSpC as a swift action almost at will. It can only be cast after being in contact with the ground for at least 1 round (meaning you can use updraft every other round) or refreshed immediately if in contact with a spring carpet. Rather than double jump checks, spring carpets double the effective caster level of the updraft effect leading to very impressive jumps.
It also allows for signalling at a great distance. As a free action once per round it can project dancing lights (duration 1 round) and a loud chiming sound able to be heard up to 1000 ft away (or less, if you desire). This is also at will.
Featherwind scarfs come in least, lesser, and greater versions for caster level 5th, 10th, and 20th respectively.
Prerequisites: Craft Wondrous Item, haste.
Cost to Create: 1000 gp, 80 EXP, 2 days (least). 5000 gp, 400 EXP, 10 days (lesser). 10000 gp, 800 EXP, 20 days (greater).
