Fiendish Warlock

Warlocks are already often connected with fiends, but this time it's for real. A fiendish warlock use powers derived from demons, devil or yugoloths. They are more offensive than standard warlocks.

Class: Warlock In The Dungeon

Prerequisites: Knowledge (the planes) 4 ranks

Level: 1st, 3rd and 8th

Replaces: Alignement Restriction, Damage Reduction, Detect Magic, Fiendish Resilience

Benefit: You may be of any non-good alignment. When you gain the Occult Soul feature you must align the eldritch blast to evil. When you gain Supernatural Power you must align the eldritch blast to your other alignment component (lawful or chaotic). If you have none, choose one.

You gain the following abilities:

  • Detect Good: Instead of Detect Magic, at 1st level, you may replicate the spell detect good at will, as a spell-like abilities.
  • Hellish Resistance: This feature substitutes the damage reduction feature, as well as all of its improvement. You gain damage reduction 1/good at level 3rd. It increases to 2 at level 7th, 4 at 11th, 6 at 15th and 10 at level 19th.
  • Fiendish Flamewreath: This feature works as fiendish resilience and substitutes it, as well as all of its improvement. You can immolate yourself in wispy flames that don't hurt you but deal 1d6 points of fire damage to any creature striking you with its body or a handheld weapon. Creatures wielding weapons with exceptional reach, such as longspears, are not subject to this damage if they attack you. Activate the effect is a free action. This effect lasts for 2 minutes or a number of minutes equal to its Charisma modifier, whichever is higher. You may split the time in multiple uses. The flames provide light equivalent to a torch, but can't be extinguished except by you. This is a supernatural ability. At 13th level, your fiendish flamewreath deals 2d6 points of fire damage. At 18th level, the damage improves to 5d6 points.
