Fourfold Experts of the Infinite[edit]
Four expert hirelings had been tasked by a mad artificer to perform a strange ritual. Within an instant he commited suicide and the hirelings discovered infinite pain. Though the fate of the artificer and their hirelings is not clearly known, with some saying that at that moment the artificer was "crushed by rocks and died anyway", the hirelings had somehow exceeded the bounds of their universe and its mathematical limitations becoming a vestige.
Level: 5th
Binding DC: 21
Special Requirement: Must have a bucket of water or similar pool for the ritual.
Legend[edit]
In an unknown realm a mad artificer attempted a forbidden ritual which would outshine the power of the gods and defeat his kobold nemesis. Through a combination of magical gear, spells, and the help of four other allies he would achieve his dream. These four resilient workers were equipped with spells and abilities so that they may endure what would be a constant, instant, and infinite loop of damage and destruction. In a moment they were obliterated by the ritual but were not allowed to simply die. The ritual was supposedly interrupted by a power that exceeded even the gods, and the would be godly artificer was struck down by falling rocks. The hapless experts however were "saved" as their connection to the artificer was broken and a memory of their existance was imprinted on the nothingness of oblivion.
Special summoning[edit]
Must have a bucket of water. At the end of the contract you drop your head within to mimic drowning yourself, a part of the ritual.
Manifestation[edit]
Four unremarkable men seem to step from just outside your field of vision, wearing magical boots and gauntlets and chained together by a spectral chain. One tries to open their mouth to speak, but only screams of agony erupt forth. The caster understands the intent however and ritually drowns themselves to complete the bond as the bodies writhe and crumble to the floor.
Sign[edit]
Any boots and gauntlets you wear will appear to be magical (shining with faint universal magic) even if they aren't. You look somehow more generic and mundane than normal in spite of this.
Influence[edit]
You do not concern yourself the effects of hit points, and thus tend to throw yourself into danger even when you are wounded.
Granted Abilities[edit]
Delay Death[edit]
As an immediate action you become unable to die from hit point damage as per the delay deathSpC spell. This effect lasts for 5 rounds, after which any hit point damage applies normally. You may use this ability once per minute.
Flash of Infinity[edit]
Once every 5 rounds you can roll a natural 20 on any ability or skill check.
Fourfold Assistance[edit]
You can make a "contingent aid another" as a standard action up, forming a spectral "ghost" which follows you. You can make up to 4 ghosts at any one time, and can assign one or more ghosts to follow a creature as a move action. At any point as a free action the followed creature can choose to consume the ghost gaining the aid another benefit, with multiple ghosts stacking. The attack, AC, ability, or skill check being aided is fixed on creation of the ghost.
[edit]
You may use share pain at will with a duration equal to the duration of the bind, up to four different creatures at a single time. You can also share healing over this network. A creature can break the connection as an free action on their turn.
