You tried to open the car door, but the door was all iced up.
A single object up to Medium size or up to a 5 ft square gets a thin coating of ice. Affected squares force a DC 10 Balance check for anyone in the area to avoid falling prone. Affected objects are slippery to hold, but typically not slippery enough to drop. They take a -2 penalty to any attack rolls or checks for their function. Objects such as doors or coffers cannot be opened due to the shell of ice around it. The ice can be broken with a DC 10 Strength check as a standard action or by taking 5 points of damage, which ends the spell. Ice takes double damage from fire, and is immune to cold.
