Icicle Lance

A thin transparent shaft of frozen water extends out of your hand, the tip sharp as a needle. Cold mist wafts from its form.

When you cast this spell, you create a deadly lance of ice. The lance is sized for a creature of your size and has reach. Unlike most weapons with reach, it can attack adjunct targets as it expands and contracts with parts breaking off or melting away. You can wield the icicle lance in one or two hands, dealing a base 4d6 cold damage, with a 20/x3 critical. Instead of using your Strength modifier, you can use your casting ability score instead.

As a standard action during the duration you can make a single melee attack to all creatures in a 60 ft line.

If you successfully strike a [Fire] effect or a creature under a [Fire] effect, you can attempt a dispel check (1d20 + caster level against a DC of 11 + the opposing caster level). The icicle lance remains whether you succeed or fail on this check. The icicle lance deals double damage against creatures with the [Fire] subtype (instead of +50% additional cold damage).
