Rescue craft has arrived, ready for airlifting.

Developed by the Luna-Tesla Corporation as a quick and easy means of rescuing stranded coworkers off the surface of the moon (long story, don't ask), they managed to make the engine effective enough to work up to 1 G. It is built with cheapness in mind, but those it saves are always very grateful to get out of their situation even if their ride is less than comfortable. For this drone is little more than a seat strapped to an engine, and a simple AI Core that will guide them home. Be it the depths of space, or the distant wastelands of the Best Buy parking lot, the Keyespi will be there to rescue you.

These aero bikes are about 5 feet tall, shaped like a cylinder with an engine on bottom and a seat embedded in the side, and weigh about 600 pounds.

Combat[edit]

Aero bikes are not made for combat and have no means to fight. At least, no means other than literally crashing into the opponent.

Autonav (Ex): As long as they can see the sky, aero bikes can never get lost and always know where north is. This applies even if the sky is covered by clouds.

Crash (Ex): Aero bikes can run into targets at high speed, not unlike a trample. The Aero bikes must move in a straight line. Unlike normal trample, it only deals 1d6 damage for every 20 ft it has traveled, to a maximum of 5d6 at 100 ft. Damage applies to all targets it runs over, and it takes half the damage it deals due to speed to itself (hardness applies). Passengers upon it take half damage, with a DC 15 Reflex save to halve again.

The Reflex DC is 16 (save negates) and is Strength based, but the DC drops by 1 for every die of damage beyond 1d6 before it strikes its first target as long as the target is aware of the approaching vehicle, since the target has a much greater time to prepare to dodge out of the way.

Unlike normal trample, it can attack creatures its size or larger. However, doing so immediately ends the trample and it will take the full damage due to speed instead of half damage. Effectively, the aero bike has crashed.

Programming: The aero bike possesses the following programs: Collect, Identify Creature, Identify Object, Reposition, Search, and Self-Preservation. Any riders can assume direct control of the vehicle, overriding any programming including its self-preservation.

Superheavy Lifter (Ex): Aero bikes are barely larger than a mule, but can carry loads as big as itself into the sky. It can hold up to one Medium creature as passengers (or 4 Small creatures, 16 Tiny creatures, etc) and has a carrying capacity of a quadruped one size larger. It can also fly with a heavy load or lighter. As a result a light load for an aero bike is up to 300 pounds; a medium load, 301–600 pounds; and a heavy load, 601–900 pounds. An aero bike can drag 4,500 pounds.

Construction[edit]

Keysepi-2 Aero Bikes are build out of a composite of many different metals, plastics, and alloys which must be processed in a factory. In addition its computer core requires special components and programming. The cost of the base material components are worth 800 gp.

Assembling the body requires a DC 19 Craft (technology) check, a DC 19 Knowledge Engineering, or a DC 19 Knowledge Xeno check.

CL 7th; Craft Construct, overland flight; Price 8,000 gp; Cost 3,600 gp + 288 XP.
