Monarch's Persistence[edit]
Part of the Monarch's Regalia enhancement set, those who wear this life supporting armor are protected. Even if they should die, their determination will live on. Much like Magic item SetsMIC, this enhancement grows in strength with the number of "Monarch" enhancements placed on it.
Initially, this suit of armor gives an amount of useful life support to the wearer who gains the effects of an unaugmented adaptive shell. However if they die and their body is not destroyed, they instead enter a state of where they can persist with 1 more round before death takes them. However, even if they receive healing, they cannot avoid their death. If you have the Bergentrückung feat, you may persist 2 rounds.
However as long as their body is intact they will enter a state of deathless slumber. Their body does not rot and they do not age. If left unharmed and their armor left on, they return after 1 year and a day as if subject to raise dead. For 5 rounds each week they can briefly awaken from this slumber long enough to speak, but little else. The rounds do not need to be used consecutively.
You can be brought back early with traditional means of revival. The costs for doing so are cut in half.
For each additional enhancement you possess, the adaptive shell property reduces adaptive time down by 2 rounds (to a minimum of 0 at 3 enhancements). You also gain the protective shell of air at 4 enhancements. The amount of rounds per week you can speak in your deathless slumber increases by 5 each time, to a maximum of 20 rounds per week.
If all four enhancements of this suit are worn, the wearer's voice may be projected up to 1 mile clearly, and they may use verbal skills checks (Bluff, Diplomacy, and Intimidate) to anyone who may hear them.
