You break the bonds of matter and recombine them with the power of your mind into a new substance. You can convert the materials of an largely uniform object up to a 5 ft cube of space and of a certain value into an uniform substance of equal value. For example, you can convert 500 gp of diamonds into 500 gp of gold, or vice versa. Substances which are effectively free, like rock, can only be turned into other free substances. You can always convert to a material of lower value. For the purposes of determining how much of a free substance you can make from an expensive substance, consider the free substance to have a minimum value of 1 gp per pound of the substance. Complex or highly composite materials cannot be converted, or substances converted into composite materials.

Converted substances are the same temperature as the original substance (so you cannot convert rock to magma and room temperature iron will make water instead of ice or steam), and they must be stable in the environment you transmute them in (so you cannot form antimatter). The manifesting time is 1 round per 100 gp of substances you are converting. The original substance must fit within a 5 ft cube, but the produced substance does not need not fit within a 5 ft cube.

Substances are created in homogenous uniform lumps, but you can make a Craft check to shape the substance into a desired form on creation such as a ring or sword, provided that it has no complex moving parts. Complex items or items which require composite substances automatically fail.

You can use this power to burrow by converting rock into other substances, but occupied buildings are considered attended objects.

Augment: For every 1 power point you spend, you may decrease the transmutation time it takes to convert by 1 round (minimum 1 round).

For every 3 power points you spend, you may increase the size of the cube you can work with by an additional 5 ft.
