Dead men tell no tales, except when magic is involved. You can fix that though...

Used by assassins and murderers, this spell alters reality to obscure and corrupt evidence which could be used against you after killing a creature. Touch the corpse of a creature slain in the last 24 hours. Mundane investigation methods researching evidence linked to the crime have the skill check DCs raised by +20, as witnesses memories become fuzzy and physical evidence seems inconclusive. The murdered victim is unable to be raised or resurrected by normal means, and efforts to divine information about the murder directly (such as through speak with dead) or indirectly (via various divinations) fail unless the investigator's caster makes a caster level check against a DC 12 + the caster level of this spell. Those casting it as an assassin spell treat their full HD as their caster level for the purpose of this spell, if higher.

This does not actually get rid of any evidence, nor does it prevent creatures from using "inconclusive evidence" against the accused, simply make what evidence that is gathered worth less. Though the corpse does not have an active spell upon it, break enchantment on the corpse reverts the effects of this spell.

This is a corrupt spellBoVD, but may be cast as an assassin spell without paying the corruption cost.

Material Component: 30 pieces of silver

Corruption Cost: 1d6 points of Charisma damage.
