Sashimono[edit]

A sashimono is a pole held on the back, typically to hold a flag or form of heraldry up high. It can also be used to hold other objects. The sashimono takes up the shoulder slot, but shoulder slot items such as capes and mantles can be hung on the sashimono itself and retain its benefit. More typically it is used to hold up some manner of flag. It can also hold one-handed objects upon a hook or chain such as a lantern, leaving one's hands free. Removing or adding an object to the pole is a standard action.

The pole does have the disadvantage of applying a -4 penalty to Hide checks, and counting as one size larger for the purpose of squeezing through vertical spaces.

In a pinch the sashimono can be removed and used a quarterstaff.

Craft (woodworking) DC 15. Market Price 15 gp.
