A Scyramorka who has not only overcome, but embraced, their flammability. 5 5 Good Good Good Good Other Other

Scyran'Thamith[edit]

All it takes is a spark, HAHAHAHA!
—Ashalkriin, Scyramorka Scyran'Thamith, shortly before erupting into flames and tackling the party Fighter.

Scyran'Thamith are Scyramorka who do not have their race's natural fear of flame. Rather, they embrace it, enjoying the pain it brings and the pain it can inflict, and they are often seen as mad even by their brethren, who are themselves prone to mental glitches at times.

Class Features[edit]

All of the following are class features of the Scyran'Thamith.

Rage Advancement: Levels of Scyran'Thamith stack with levels in whatever class(es) granted you the Rage and/or Frenzy ability for the purposes of determining the strength of the ability(s) and number of uses per day.

Burning Rage (Ex): When you enter a rage or frenzy, you can instead enter a Burning Rage. Doing so incurs 1 point of Constitution burn to yourself. During a Burning Rage, you are on fire. You shed light as a torch, and your blood runs down your weapons, adding 1d4 points of Fire damage to your melee attacks. Enemies that attack you in melee with non-reach weapons also take this damage, and this damage is automatically dealt to those you're grappling with. However, you take 1d4 points of nonlethal damage each round as you continue to bleed.

At 3rd level, the fire damage increases from 1d4 to 1d8, and at 5th level it increases again, to 2d6.

Kiss The Flames (Ex): Due to your constant willing exposure to the flames, you have developed a resistance to them. At 1st level, you gain Fire resistance 5, and your vulnerability to fire is reduced from 50% to 35%. At 3rd level, in increases to 10 and your vulnerability is reduced to 20%, and at 5th level your resistance increases to 20 and your vulnerability to fire goes away completely. This ability prevents the flames of your Burning Rage from harming you.

Ritual Scarring (Ex): Due to the constant opening of flesh, you have developed a lot of scar tissue. You gain a Natural Armor bonus equal to your class level. At 3rd level, you gain DR 1/X against nonlethal damage that stacks with other sources of DR.

Whirling Flames (Ex): Beginning at 2nd level, during a Burning Rage, when you make a full attack, you can make an extra attack at your highest base attack bonus. However, all of your attacks that round, until the beginning of your next turn, suffer a -2 penalty.

Beginning at 4th level, you can make a second additional attack during the full attack action, at an additional -5 penalty. Thus if your base attack bonus was +9, making your normal attack sequence +9/+4, when adding the Whirling Flames ability, your attack sequence would instead be +7/+7/+2/+2.

This extra attack is applied separately to each hand, in the event of duel-wielding.

Mad Ember (Ex): Beginning at 2nd level, during a Burning Rage, you are immune to Fear. Beginning at 5th level, you are always immune to Fear, not just when in a Burning Rage.

Firesight (Ex): Beginning at 2nd level, you are so accustomed to the fire emanating from your body that you no longer suffer the effects of your racial Light Blindness.

Retributive Madness (Ex): Beginning at 4th level, when brought below half health, or when struck by Fire damage, you may enter a Burning Rage as an immediate action. Doing so still incurs the Constitution burn.

Ex-Scyran'Thamith[edit]

Losing your Barbarian rage also results in losing the abilities of this prestige class.
