A scythe is large curved blade on a polearm. Typically used as farming equipment, this one is a weaponized war-ready version.
When you make an attack with this weapon, you can choose to forgo normal damage to sweep the weapon at a Large or smaller creature’s legs. The target must succeed on a Strength or Dexterity saving throw (target’s choice) or fall prone. If the target is mounted, it has advantage on the saving throw. The DC equals 8 + the attacker’s proficiency bonus + the attacker’s Strength or Dexterity modifier (attacker’s choice).
