Sentient Poltergeist [Racial] Prerequisites: Sentient IllusionBenefit: The Sentient Illusion gains the following abilities:

Item Parasite: While inhabiting an item, that item gets additional hardness equal to the Sentient Illusion's character level. The Sentient Illusion still can't make Fortitude or Reflex saves: the item itself, or its wielder, must provide those as normal.

Enter Item {Sp}: As an immediate action, when the host touches an item weighing fewer pounds than three times the Sentient Illusion's character level, the Sentient Illusion may attempt to transfer itself from the host to the item. The host may attempt a Will save to prevent this. The save DC is 10 + the Sentient Illusion's character level. When using Swap Bodies to enter a creature from the occupied item, only the creature may attempt a Will save. Enter Item may also be used when the current item touches another item, with no save permitted.

Item Senses {Su}: While inhabiting an item, the Sentient Illusion has senses like those of a standard creature from all parts of its body. It can make spot and listen checks, and use any special senses it has gained.

Voice {Su}: While inhabiting an item, the Sentient Illusion can speak, despite not having a mouth.

Wobble Object {Su}: As a move action, the Sentient Illusion can move the object it is inhabiting up to 10 feet in any direction. It then falls normally. Alternatively, the Sentient Illusion can aim and fire itself if it is inhabiting a loaded weapon, by using the normal actions to do so. Normal: A Sentient Illusion can only possess creatures, and non-mindless ones, at that.

Wizard-level Version: As above, and two of the following:

  • Automatic Escape: When the inhabited item is destroyed, the Sentient Illusion may transfer to a touching item without taking an action.
  • Better Item Senses: The Sentient Illusion gains 120' Darkvision and 30' Blindsense while inhabiting an item.
  • More Control: The Sentient Illusion gains a 10' perfect fly speed and can use itself much as though it were a creature wielding the item, with a Strength score equal to its Charisma score, and a Dexterity score equal to its Wisdom score.
  • Haunt House: The Sentient Illusion may inhabit an object that weighs more than a number of pounds equal to 3 times its character level, so long as the object does not occupy more than one 10' cube per character level.

Special: This feat may be taken again in order to gain two more of the extra Wizard-level bonuses.

Fighter-level Version: As Rogue-level version, but Enter Item becomes a standard action.

Monk-level Version: As Fighter-level version, but lose Voice and Senses, except touch.
