The skull opened its mouth and released a radiant purple stream of raw power.
This skull floats around the user like an ioun stone. If targeted, it is a Diminutive object with the user's AC but a +4 size bonus, DR 5/bludgeoning, and 30 hp. If reduced to 0 hp it cracks and is rendered inert, but can be repaired by negative energy. However, attacks from positive energy or holy damage can break it entirely and render it destroyed.
The skull has an aura that spreads out to 20 ft that absorbs the energy of dying creatures. A creature which dies in the area grants the skull a number of charges equal to the HD of the creature. It can store up to 100 charges. As a standard action the user can spend a number of charges up to their character level, dealing 1d6 points of damage/charge in a ray out to 60 ft. This is functionally an eldritch blast, though essences and shapes cannot be applied. As the skull is charged burning flames appear in its eye, and fade away as it is discharged.
The skull may be used as a focus for trap the soul and similar spells in place of the focus or material component jewel. It can store up to a 15 HD creature, and does not shatter if not sufficient to store a creature.
Prerequisites: Craft Wondrous Item, trap the soul, must be able to use eldritch blasts.
Cost to Create: 7500 gp, 600 EXP, 15 days.
