Spell Ward (Mental) You can use your knowledge of magic to defend yourself from it.Prerequisites: Spellcraft 8 ranks, Intelligence 14Benefit: As a swift action, you may apply your knowledge of magic to your magical defenses. You gain spell resistance equal to your ranks in Spellcraft, which lasts for 5 rounds. If you already have spell resistance, your existing spell resistance is increased by your ranks in Spellcraft, but this skill trick cannot make your spell resistance greater than your ranks in Spellcraft + 6. Special: If you have Excellent Trainee, Exceptional Trainee, or Epic Trainee, the SR limit for this feat is increased correspondingly (Spellcraft ranks + 12 for Excellent Trainee, Spellcraft ranks + 18 for Exceptional Trainee, or Spellcraft ranks + 24 for Epic Trainee.) However, if you do not have a source of spell resistance other than this skill trick, then your spell resistance is still equal to your ranks in Spellcraft, regardless of whether or not you have any of the Trainee feats.

If you already have spell resistance greater than this skill trick's maximum limit, then this skill trick simply does nothing.
