Tezra the Sterilizing Starlight[edit]

One of the great scholars of another world and sworn enemy of Biokaryota, this scientist attempted to slay the pinnacle of life but in the end only sowed her own death.

Level: 1st

Binding DC: 15

Special Requirement: Yes.

Legend[edit]

The events which produced Biokaryota did not go unnoticed, and the other living beings of that world took their best scientists and scholars to task to try and discover the nature of this all-consuming phenomena. Realizing the danger it posed, one scientist took to task in trying to limit or destroy the hungry growth. Time after time, conventional methods proved limited in their success as the growth would spring back with new immunities and resistances to the methods, and so Tezra turned to darker, more obscure, and more dangerous methods. Through her research she discovered something far beyond her ken, a power as destructive as Biokaryota was fecund, the fell glow of the deadlights from beyond the stars.

It is not known if Tezra perished to Biokaryota, or to her own discovery, only that she did not succeed on her task. Yet somehow she ended up not as part of the blooming growth and yet no less existent so absolute was the destruction. It seems that the power she discovered is still with her in greatly reduced form, but whispers and rumors indicate she still knows the means to summon the power of death itself, the deadlights.

Special summoning[edit]

Tezra refused to be bound at the same time as Biokaryota, the Blooming Growth.

Manifestation[edit]

The sky above darkens to the point where starlight is visible. Above your head in a pale green star which shines with baleful light, which seems to grow brighter and larger until all is bathed in pale light. Barely visible in the haze is the shadowy figure of a human female made of green mist who speaks and requests that you "complete the experiment". Agree, and the binding will be complete.

Sign[edit]

Your eyes glow with a pale green light, and your breath and bodily fluids emit a pale green gas which quickly evaporates.

Influence[edit]

You are wary around places which are vibrant in life or filthy with overgrowth, and prefer as sterile and clean areas as possible such as many metals. If you are ever swallowed whole by an organic creature you are panicked for 1 round and shaken for 10 minutes after.

Granted Abilities[edit]

Biological Knowledge[edit]

You can identify any living creature with a special check of your binder level + 3 + your Intelligence modifier, as if using the appropriate Knowledge skill for the creature.

Light of Death[edit]

You can emit a light from your body which shines as a torch. Any creature within 30 ft are unable to cure themselves unless they succeed on a DC 15 Heal check or caster level check (for curative spells) as part of the attempt. Fast healing and regeneration is reduced by an amount equal to half your binder level, minimum 0. You can toggle the light as a swift action.

Purity of Body[edit]

You are immune to disease. In addition over the course of 1 minute at Close range you can use remove disease or purify and clean a 10 ft cube of disease, filth, poison, or microbial life.

Rapid Decay[edit]

As a standard action touch attack you can cause up to a 5 ft cube of unattended dead organic material to undergo rapid aging, rotting away at high speed. The object experiences 1 day of rot each round, up to 1 round/level. Once it has been affected it cannot be affected by the same binder for 24 hours.
