Tumultuous Word
Evocation [Chaotic, Sonic]
Level: Chaos 7, Cleric 7
Components: V
Casting time: 1 standard action
Range: 40 ft
Area: Nonchaotic creatures in a 40-ft.-radius spread centered on you
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: See text
Spell Resistance: Yes

"DERP!" With that one word, all the inevitables malfunctioned!

Any nonchaotic creature within the area that hears the tumultuous word suffers from the following ill effects. The effects are cumulative and concurrent.

Challenge Rating Effect
Greater than your caster level Sickened
Equal to caster level Prone, Sickened
Up to caster level –3 Blinded, Prone, Sickened
Up to caster level –6 Blinded, Nauseated, Prone, Sickened
Up to caster level –10 Blinded, Nauseated, Prone, Killed, Sickened

Sickened: The creature is sickened for 1 round.

Prone: The creature drops prone. If they were flying, they fall and take falling damage.

Blinded: The creature is blinded for 2d4 rounds.

Nauseated: The creature is nauseated for 1d4 rounds, then sickened for 1 round.

Killed: Living creatures die. Undead creatures are destroyed.

A creature gains a Will save to resist this spell. On a successful save, the penalties are reduced by one step (such as going from blind, prone, and sickened to only being prone and sickened). Creatures greater than your caster level who save negate the effects entirely.

Furthermore, if you are on your home plane when you cast this spell, nonchaotic extraplanar creatures within the area are instantly banished back to their home planes. Creatures so banished cannot return for at least 24 hours. This effect takes place regardless of whether the creatures hear the tumultuous word. The banishment effect allows a Will save (at a -4 penalty) to negate.

This spell is intended as a replacement to the word of chaos spell, and counts as such.
