Class Features[edit]

All of the following are class features of the Soundskaters.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: A Soundskater is proficient with all simple weapon, sonic pistol and the war greaves. She also gain the Improved Unarmed Strike feat. She is proficient with light armor but no shields.

Spells: Soundskater cast psychic spells spontaneously, she does not have spell known unlike a sorcerer. Instead a soundskater directly cast from her spell list.

A soundskater use her Charisma modifier to determine which spell she can cast, her spell's DCs and the number of extra spell she gain per day. Unlike a normal psychic, all her spell also have vocal components. A soundskater spellcasting cannot benefits from the Ascended Progression feat and cannot be made into scrolls or other consumable items as is. She may still [Item Creation] feats with the spells on her spell list, but they are treated as of the same level as they are found on either the Cleric, Druid or Wizard spell list.

A Soundskater choose their spells from the following list:

1st— concussive blast, cure moderate wound, expeditious retreat, force pulse, greater mage hand, haste, jump, minor image, soundblast.

2nd— cure serious wound, great thunderclapSpC, major image, shout, vertigo fieldSpC.

3rd— clockstopper, cure deadly wound, greater shout, telekinesis.

4th— heal, song of discord, time stop.

If a spell is marked with the Energy tag, it can be cast by spending a number of energy charge equal to twice it spell level instead of a spell slot.

Sound Aura (Su): A Soundskater project an aura, accompanied by fitting audio and music, out of 10 feet of herself. These aura only function she is conscious and she may only have a single aura active at any time. Her allies benefits from her aura for as long as they stay within it and 1 round thereafter.

She may switch between active aura as a swift action, when she switch her allies still benefit from the effect of the old aura for 1 round. A Sound Aura as a bonus equal to half the soundskater's class level (minimum 1).

A Soundskater start the game knowing a single aura, she learn another aura at 2nd level, 6th level and each 4 levels thereafter. She select her Sound Aura from the list below.

Power Reserve: A Soundskater possess a reserve of sonic energy which is used to energize her Sound Aura. She has a maximum number of energy charge in her power reserve equal to 2 + her Charisma modified. She regain a single energy charge each round she does not spend any.

Sonic Skates (Su): A Soundskater can create a pair of skates made of sonic energy as a move action, these behave exactly as Wheelshoes and may be dismissed as a free action. They may be enhanced like a normal pair of wheelshoes, she may even have multiple pairs of shoes with different enhancement she can summon or dismiss at her leisure.

If used to attack with the Hell on Wheels feat or an unarmed strike, they deal sonic damage instead of physical damage. If she attack with her skates, she may use her Dexterity instead of her Strength for the purpose of calculating attack and damage.

At 6th level her sonic skates become Mercurite Wheelshoes, instead of energy cells she may use an Energy Charge to use the turbo ability.

Street Skills (Ex): A Soundskater gain a bonus equal to half her level on all Balance check and Perform checks, she gain 2 additional skill points per class level that she must invest in these skills.

Bonus Feat: At 2nd level and each 6 levels thereafter, a Soundskater gain a feat from the following list: Dash, Hell on Wheels, Hot on Wheelshoes, any feat which count as Dodge and any feat which has Improved Unarmed Strike as a prerequisites. She must meet the prerequisites of these feats as normal.

Moxie Barrier (Ex): A 2nd level Soundskater is able to add her Charisma bonus as a dodge bonus to AC. If the soundskater is somehow immobilized, or has not moved at all during her last turn she loses this bonus.

Speed Boost (Ex): At 3rd level a Soundskater become much faster than the common man, while wearing her sonic skate her speed increase by a further 10 feet. While moving she may spend a single energy charge to increase her run multiplier by 1 and prevent herself from provoking for her first square of movement.

At 3rd level and each 3 levels thereafter her land speed while using her sonic skates increase by a further 5 feet.

Evasion (Ex): As the Rogue ability.

Wall Ride (Ex): At 4th level, a Soundskater is able to ride on walls and other vertical surfaces just as they were horizontal. She must end her turn on a surface that can normally support her or else she will fall normally. Additionally when jumping from a wall ride, the soundskater gain the Hyper Jump ability and a +20 bonus on her Jump check.

Extend Aura (Su): A 5th level Soundskater increase the range of her sound aura ability to 20 ft. At each 5th level thereafter she increase it by a further 20 ft.

Sonic Barrier (Su): A 7th level Soundskater is able to create a protective barrier around her allies as a standard action, expending any number of energy charge. All allies within her sound aura gain a number of temporary hit points equal 5 times to the number of charge spent. The sonic barrier last for 1 round.

List of Sound Auras[edit]

If an aura can be augmented the mechanics and cost of the augmentation are provided within the rule. A soundksater may only augment one of her existing aura once per turn, even if her reserve and action would allow her to do so multiple time.

If an aura as a Maintenance cost, whenever it is switched into or at the start of any turn it is active, the soundskater must pay it maintenance cost. If she cannot or will not, the aura cease without effect.

  • Healing Aura: You project an aura which patch the wounds of your allies, granting rapid healing equal to her class level. At 6th level this become fast healing 1 instead, or increase any existing fast healing by 1.
Augment: As a standard action, the soundskater spend a single energy charge and cast one of spell of the [healing] subschool. This spell affect all of her allies within her healing aura.
  • Protective Aura: You project an aura which reduce any incoming damage to your and your ally within your sound aura by twice your aura bonus.
Maintenance: 1 Energy Charge
  • Share Speed Boost: You project an aura which increase the speed of all your allies by your speed boost bonus, including yourself. This aura require the speed boost class feature.
Maintenance: 1 Energy Charge
