I was originally thinking of making the Bane Mace Upgrade every four levels but I thought it was dealing too much damage.
Possible spells: Spells with a Star are cast through the Bane Mace's red jewel, and cannot be cast without it being held.
If too many spells in a level, consider removing some beneficial spells.
If there is a star after the spell's name, the spell is cast through a Bane Mace, and cannot be used without the Bane Soldier holding the Bane Mace and nothing else in his other hand. Instead of moving the Bane Soldier's hand to cast the spell, the Somatic component is just the Bane Soldier aiming the jewel and firing it.

Technological Bane Soldiers[edit]
In games with higher than normal technology levels, The Bane Mace is a work of technology, and the spells are gadgets. They still function exactly like spells, it's just fluff. Spell component pouch becomes a gadget bag, and material components become gadget stuff. (I want to tone the technology level of this stuff to the technology level of World of Warcraft. If I cannot do that, I might just scrap the tech stuff.
1st Level (Tech)[edit]
- Alarm: A small device that senses nearby creatures.
- Corrupt Weapon*: (Can only affect the Bane Mace)
- Delay Poison: A syringe full of antitoxins.
- Detect Poison: A scanner device.
- Inflict Light Wounds*: A boring blast of energy from the Bane Mace.
- Magic Weapon*: (Can only affect the Bane Mace)
- Obscuring Mist: The Bane Mace fires a smoke grenade.
- Pass Without Trace: Tiny clockwork devices follow the targeted creatures and remove all tracks.
- True Strike*: (Can only affect the Bane Mace)
2nd Level (Tech)[edit]

- Bear's Endurance The creature targeted is injected with medicine that improves their abilities.
- Bull's Strength The creature targeted is injected with medicine that improves their abilities.
- Cat's Grace The creature targeted is injected with medicine that improves their abilities.
- Darkness*: The Bane Mace fires a smoke grenade, obscuring creatures.
- Death Knell*: You strike an opponent with your Bane Mace, and it empowers yourself.
- Fox's Cunning: The creature targeted is injected with medicine that improves their abilities.
- Inflict Moderate Wounds*: A boring blast of energy from the Bane Mace.
- Invisibility: Tiny clockwork devices surround the targeted creature, making it invisible.
- Shatter*: The Bane Mace emits a loud noise.
- Hold Person*: The Bane Mace releases a grenade full of synthetic spider webs, sticking the person to the floor.
3rd Level (Tech)[edit]
- Darkvision: The targeted creature is given night-vision goggles.
- Deeper Darkness*: The Bane Mace fires a smoke grenade, obscuring creatures.
- False Life: You inject yourself with a mixture that heals you.
- inflict serious wounds*: A boring blast of energy from the Bane Mace.
- Misdirection: You attach a device to the targeted creature of object that disrupts surveillance attempts.
- Remove Disease: A syringe that contains a universal vaccine.
- Slow*: The Bane Mace releases artificial webbing that restricts the movements of the creature.
- Haste: A stimulant.
- Rage: An injection of chemicals that has some unpleasant side effects.
