Your eldritch blast is a spray of vile green gunk which seeps into the blood of your opponents. Your eldritch blast deals poison damage (and thus creatures immune to poison are immune to this damage), and the creature must make a Fortitude save or take 1d3 points of Con damage. There is no secondary damage.
Alternatively you may use a poison as a material component (any kind, even ingested and inhaled). Instead of the normal 1d3 Con, the Venomous Blast carries the effect of the consumed poison and uses the poison's DC with a +2 bonus.
