Witch-Born
Your mom may have been a witch or your dad a warlock.
Benefit: Spellcraft and Knowledge (arcana) are always class skills for you. Spell-failure percent chance for anything that causes spell failure (such as wearing armor for arcane casters or becoming deafened) is reduced by 10%.
Drawback: You're weak against acid damage, taking 150% damage from acid effects. You suffer a −1 penalty on all saves to resist spells and spell-like abilities with durations other than instantaneous.
Special: Must be of the fey, giant, humanoid or monstrous humanoid types.
Roleplaying Ideas: A witch-born creature is a magically-blessed and magically-cursed creature. They may stand out as a bit different or unusual, occasionally being unusually colored for their race. Typically among humanoids, this means having shades of blue or green skin with darkly shaded hair. Occasionally the opposite occurs, with witch-born creatures possessing very pale skin and hair. Some societies fear and recoil from members born with innate magical talents, while others find this as a source for reverence and respect.
Some societies blame shapechangers, hags, powerfully magical parents, fell pacts and other manner of sources for witch-born offspring. A single identifiable source is unknown.
