Magmatic Spell [Metamagic] The scorching ray was heavy and rocky and a loud "Thud" is heard at the impact.Benefit: You may apply this metamagic feat only on Earth or Fire spells. A magmatic spell that deals hit point damage deals half fire damage and half bludgeoning damage. In addition the target is entangled and suffers 2d6 of fire damage each subsequent round, until the third round, when the lava covering it solidifies and the target is immobilized. The solid lava may be destroyed with a Strength check with DC 15, dealing 1d6 of fire damage to the target and to anyone adjacent, or it may be escaped with an Escape Artist check with DC 20. The lava solidifies is struck with enough water or with a cold effect. The lava may be removed with a standard action by hand while still liquid, suffering 2d6 of fire damage (in addition to those suffered by the target, if it tries to remove the lava itself).

A magamatic spell uses up a spell slot two levels higher than the spell's actual level.
