A crest briefly forms upon your body and fades, leaving a warm sensation. Just as you finish, an arrow flies at you, narrowly missing. As the enemy curses their luck, luck hears them and curses back...
You become a deflector of bad fortune, amplifying it and returning it to its sender. You function best when the enemy functions their worst. Whenever an opponent misses you, be it from a miss chance or high armor class, they are struck down with magical energy for their failure, taking caster level points of damage (max 20 at 20th level). This applies for every attack they miss for an unlimited amount of times, with no save. However, the fun begins if they miss due to a natural 1. In addition to the backlash damage, they must roll a d8 and are struck with a secondary effect as listed here.

| 8 | Roll twice and select two results. |
The effects of these fumbles are instantaneous. The distance between you and your target does not matter. If they can attack you, they can be struck by this spell's effects. However, the spell effect does not cross planes.
