Connected [Skill]
You have friends in high place, low places too. In fact, it’s surprising anyone dislikes you.
Benefits: This is a skill feat that scales with your ranks in Diplomacy.
- 0 ranks: You gain a +3 bonus to Diplomacy checks.
- 4 ranks: You know the right people, with a few minutes of negotiating and a diplomacy check opposed by the targets will save you can get yourself and your friends into just about anywhere. If an area requires a common piece of documentation to enter, such as a passport, but not something limited like an invitation to a party, you have a copy of that paper and gain a +4 bonus to this check. A charitable donation to the targets pocket equal to ½ the targets levelx100 gp also confers this bonus but you can only benefit from having the proper documentation or a bribe, not both.
- 9 ranks: Your experience talking to people has made you an excellent wingman. When you aid another character who is using an influence skill you may always use diplomacy and you grant a bonus of ½ your result instead of +2.
- 14 ranks: You’re very good at convincing people to talk to you. You may use diplomacy in place of gather information. Additionally the cost of bribing someone I reduced to 1/4th their levelx25 gp.
- 19 ranks: It’s easy to make people see you as their friend with a DC 40 Diplomacy check you may cast charm monster or mass charm monster with a caster level equal to your ranks in diplomacy. In either case the Save DC of this effect is 10+1/2 level+cha. Additionally when giving commands that would go against a creature’s nature you may use your diplomacy skill instead of charisma to convince them to do so.
