Fey Type[edit]
This type is a substitute for the standard Fey Type and is NOT part of the SRD.
In many cases, fey are the physical embodiment of some natural force, whether it be the land itself or the emotions and souls of those who inhabit it. Others are creatures with just a bit too much mysticism and power to be called humanoids. Commonly fragile in stature but strong in magical ability, making them very difficult opponents.
Features[edit]
A fey creature has the following features.
- d6-sided Hit Dice.
- Base attack bonus equal to one half Hit Dice (as wizard).
- Good Reflex and Will saves.
- Skill points equal to (6 + Int modifier, minimum 1) per Hit Die, with quadruple skill points for the first Hit Die.
Traits[edit]
A fey creature possesses the following traits (unless otherwise noted in a creature’s entry).
- Low-light vision.
- All fey can add their Dexterity modifier to attack and damage rolls instead of their Strength modifier if they wish to do so.
- Fey gain one and a half times any normal size modifiers to Armor Class and attack rolls.
- A fey takes minimum base damage (treat all damage rolls as 1’s) from any weapon not made of cold iron, but takes maximum base damage from cold iron weapons.
- Immortality: Fey never acquire penalties for aging and have no maximum age.
- Natural State: Fey are mystical beings, so closely intertwined with their environment that they can enter and leave an area without leaving any signs of their presence. Fey cannot be tracked as though they are under a pass without trace effect.
- Proficient with all simple weapons and any weapons mentioned in its entry.
- Proficient with whatever type of armor (light, medium, or heavy) that it is described as wearing, as well as all lighter types. Fey not indicated as wearing armor are not proficient with armor. Fey are proficient with shields if they are proficient with any form of armor.
- Fey eat, sleep, and breathe.
