A lesser and young god of peace, recently raised to divinity by Ayailla.

Origin[edit]

The healer Judas Gentle Heart was part of the cimmerian clergy. He travelled his land with his companions, purging it from corruption and undead. He took a vow of peace, swearing never to hurt a living creature, only to heal them. After many adventures, on behalf of his church, the Brotherhood of the Torch, and eventually of his goddess, he was tricked into making the assassination of Ayailla possible, and then managed to restore her to life as a deity of the moon, while obtaining the Eternal Mirror. With this powerful divine artifact he destroyed, along with its companions, the thing that came from beyond the stars. After this he was tasked by the newly alive Ayailla to lead the remnants of his people to another land. After that he ascended to godhood.

Description[edit]

Judas Gentle Heart appears as normal-sized man, with the green robes customary of cimmerian apostles of peace, the small organization of peaceful mystics he belonged to, and a wooden staff in his hand. Other than these, he has a small sack on his rope belt and two little bells around his neck. He exudes an aura of tranquility.

Dogma and Prayers[edit]

Defuse, heal and care. This the mantra of Gentle Heart's dogma, which his clerics and priests repeat before difficult times.

The clergy teaches its acolytes to become patient and merciful and to never back down when evil and suffering becomes prevalent. They often operates as medics and diplomats, trying to mend the broken and calm the furious.

Healers of the Gentle Heart often pray silently, using tenets of Ayalla's texts and chiming their bells, which produce clear and calming sounds. They do this to focus their mind and soul and ignore passions of rage, envy and hostility. When they successfully heal a patient they burst in joyful praise for Ayalla and Judas, as it is taught them.

Clergy and Temples[edit]

Most of clergy of Judas is composed by healers, not clerics, but they still exist as part of his acolytes. They wear white, long robes, without any frills. They are trained in temple-hospitals (more hospital than temple) where they are immediately introduced to diseases and wounds, and learn to care for ill people right away. Apart for these structures, this god doesn't have dedicated buildings, as he focused on detachment from material things in life, and mantained this choice in his ascension. Because of this, high-rank clerics of Judas are apostles of peace, that live a poor and spiritual life.

Quests[edit]

Many of his followers go on adventure, following parties to heal and help in undead managing or going after armies to tend to the wounded. Others undertake missions to cleanse lands from plagues. In any case, his followers are also followers of Ayailla, so any adventure aimed to spread light, metaphorically or not, is theirs to begin.

Heralds and Allies[edit]

Unicorns and dragon clouds (as for the spell dragon cloud[1]).
