Lay Curse [Salient Ability]
A pox on your first born!Prerequisites: Divine Rank 6Benefit: You can use bestow curse at will, but to a target within 10 feet per divine rank and with a saving throw of DC 10 + 1/2 HD + Cha modifier. You can dismiss the curse as a free action on your turn. If you use it as a touch attack, the effect is instead greater bestow curseSpC, though you may only use this option once per divine rank each day.
If you die, you can make a dying curse as a free action. Up to your divine rank in creatures within the reach of your lay curse ability must make a Will save against a special form of greater bestow curse. If they save, they are hit with a normal bestow curse effect. If they fail, the effect is greater bestow curse and it cannot be removed by normal means. Only wish and miracle can remove it, a break enchantment with a caster level equal to 10 + the deity's level, or a specific task or goal set by the dying deity. The latter, if not spoken, usually can be discovered through normal divination means.
Death does not allow the subject to escape, and if the creature is unable to break the curse it will pass to their next of kin as soon as they reach adult age, or immediately if they are already an adult. In some places, a family curse can last a very long time uncured.
Special: Suitable for deities of any Curses, Evil, and Vengeance.
