Lay Quest [Salient Ability] Heroes of Light, you must defeat the Dark Lord Badwrong. I'd go do it myself but, eeeeh, I'm really tired.Prerequisites: Divine Rank 6Benefit: You can use a special form of geas/quest at will. It only works on non-deities and can only be removed by a deity of equal or higher rank than the deity who lays the quest. The deity can only have one creature affected by lay quest per divine rank at one time.

Creatures get a Will save to resist (DC 10 + 1/2 HD + Cha modifier) and a successful save renders them immune for 24 hours. A creature who has failed their save is subject to the geas, and the deity in question is aware of the overall progress of the quest but not specifics. For example, a quest to throw the evil ring into a volcano would let the deity know if they were getting closer, or if the ring was stolen, but not where they were or who stole the ring.

The creatures are able to be scryed on using the scrying spell, to which the creatures do not get a save to resist. Other means of blocking scrying completely still function, however. Special: Suitable for deities of Justice and Law.
