Masterwork Ability Tools[edit]
Just as masterwork skill tools help give a bonus to performing a certain skill, masterwork ability tools help boost a particular ability score for the purposes of ability checks and skill checks. These tools stack with masterwork skill tools, and the bonus is more wide spread to anything using said ability score, but the bonus is also smaller.
Masterwork ability tools give a +1 circumstance bonus to all ability checks and skill checks based on the chosen ability. Since there are only six ability scores there are only six masterwork ability tools, though their form and function vary from person to person. Below are the six most common forms:
Hand Grip of Strength: This hand grip give you a great workout.
Cup & Ball of Dexterity: A fun child's game proves to help hand-eye cordination.
Jump Rope of Constitution: This cardio is what you need to win.
Rubix Cube of Intelligence: Try and solve it in less than 20 moves.
Scriptures of Wisdom: Meditate on the sound of one hand clapping.
Mirror of Charisma: Get yourself looking good with this vanity mirror.
Simply owning the masterwork ability tool for 24 hours gives the bonus, as you use the tools at the start of your day to prepare yourself. These do not count as being tools found in a masterwork toolbag.
A masterwork ability tool weighs 1 lb and costs 200 gp each.
