Conjuration (Creation)
Level: Bard 1, Druid 1, Sorcerer/Wizard 1
Components: V, S
Casting time: 1 immediate action
Range: Personal
Effect: One parachute
Duration: 10 minutes/level
Saving Throw: See text
Spell Resistance: No

You were falling, but you were not afraid. With the motion of pulling a ripcord, you release a massive silk parachute in your wake causing you to slow down.

When you cast this spell, you unfurl a parachute which slows your descent to a harmless 60 ft drop each round. You have control over your flight, and for every 60 ft you fall you can also move up to 60 ft horizontally with clumsy maneuverability. Unlike feather fall, the parachute is a real object and is subject to damage. The parachute has hardness 0 and 3 hp per caster level. If the parachute is brought to 50% hp or less, you start falling at 120 ft a round and take half the fall damage you would have normally taken for falling at the height it was damaged. If it reaches 0 hp, the parachute is destroyed and you fall. It takes full damage from acid, fire, piercing, and slashing, half from electricity, and a quarter damage from cold and force damage. It is immune to bludgeoning and sonic damage.

The parachute has your AC, but with a size modifier to AC of a creature three times your size. The parachute's girth also makes you vulnerable to wind. You count as a creature three times smaller for the purpose of interacting with wind effects.

When you land, you must succeed on a DC 15 Reflex save, or else become entangled in your parachute. You can remove it by destroying the parachute or a DC 15 Escape Artist check as a full round action. If you succeed on the save, you disengage from your parachute in time.

If cast in a spell slot one level higher, you can cast it as a touch spell with a standard action and 24 hour duration. A willing touched creature can activate the parachute at any time for the duration as an immediate action, using your caster level. This discharges the spell.

If cast in a spell slot two levels higher, this becomes Mass Parachute. You can affect all willing creatures in a 20 ft burst centered on you as a standard action, treating it as the touch spell version.

Parachutes often come with different designed attuned to the personality of its user, much like arcane mark.
