The enlightened sun goddess of the natalupe pantheon, she embodies the birth and protection of life, the glory of victory, and the power of the mind. Said to live on the sun and be associated with life, she is an important part of a duel cycle with life, death, and rebirth for her natalupe worshipers. Birth is needed for death, and live cannot survive without others dying. When a creature dies, they are said to have their spirit travel to the moon until they are ready to move on a rejoin the cycle where they will be reborn in the light of Parelion.

Origin[edit]

Parelion was one of many beings which came into being with the death of the great destroyer. As blood fell into a great hot desert, Parelion wiggled out of the stained salt flats, saw the desolation caused by the previous battles, and found herself alone. Unsatisfied, she thus created life to accompany her, a life which quickly spread to all corners of the world. In his realm of the land her chosen home, the sun, shone constant with no passing of time. There her creations could grow rapidly under the life giving sun until she found the land choked with life, making it impossible to move from the sheer richness of all which sought to grow to its highest. Realizing the folly of over-population, she found Vargulf whose powers dealt with death and who was having a similar problem. Together they agreed that half the time things shall grow in the light of the sun, and half the time things will be hunted and killed under the shine of the moon. So began the cycle of day and night.

Description[edit]

Parelion appears as a huge and powerful natalupe with fur of gold and eyes made of shining white light. Her body is perfect, and she possesses a long mane of flame for hair. Behind her lies a halo of light, which is the sun. She carries a mace in hand as a symbol of authority, for she is a lawmaker and she orders those under her into battle, or spurred unto other actions.

Dogma[edit]

Parelion is the tribe, they safety and obedience to the family and the other. She is also the desire for power and the control of the alpha. The ultimate achievement is to become alpha of the family, of the pack, and of the land. She is also the family, and births are moments of glorious potential. She handles the immaterial in the world, and after the body dies she judges the souls of the dead and grants them rebirth. Vargulf's home is the land of the dead, but it is she who judges who returns.

Clergy and Temples[edit]

Parelion's clergy are leaders and thinkers, great minds, tactical warlords, and those whose personality and presence is infection. Her temples are towers which mimic abstract trees and strange, organic creatures and unlike most natalupe works are permenant structures. They are often used near natalupe graveyards and medical facilities, for it is parelion who watches the dead's departure, and their journey back to the living.

Pantheon[edit]

Parelion is part of the natalupe pantheon.
