Phizbirro the Blasphemous[edit]
There once was an infamous case of a man possessed by demons. He sowed chaos and discord amongst his fellow man, and in the attempt to exorcise him, he and those nearby were thrown out from reality to an unknown fate. Though the demon and his host were gone, the evil he weaved is still felt to this day.
Level: 2nd
Binding DC: 17
Special Requirement: No
Legend[edit]
The history of the original host known as Phizbirro is unclear. Some say he was a victim of circumstance, while others speak that he willingly became demonhost and he ran a cult dedicated to chaos, greed, and madness. No matter his origins he nevertheless found himself in the public eye due to his shameless hedonism and over-the-top and flagrant disregard of common decency. Yet he also found followers and fame through his own talents, uncanny luck, and seemingly untouchable charisma. For this reason, via talent and infamy, he rose in the ranks of society until he nearly had power and authority.
Others recognized his presence as unnatural and went to face off against the demonhost. After many encounters, a cleric had finally entrapped him long enough to attempt an exorcism while he was in the midst of a great evil ritual which would seal his dominion over the world. It is uncertain if it was due to the exorcism attempt or a failure in the ritual, but the end result would be a vortex through time and space. Phizbirro and several others were pulled through, never to be seen again.
Yet, there are some who say they still feel his presence. His infectious personality continues to bubble and fester in the hearts of man, awaiting the day for someone to call upon him again.
Manifestation[edit]
The symbol glows and is enveloped by shadowy snake-like beings, rising up into a dark bud that blossoms and reveals the head of a charismatic long-haired man with inky black hair, red eyes, and a vampiric wicked grin. He speaks with utter arrogance and authority, goading the binder to embrace their inner id and to do whatever acts they see fit with no need for ethics and morality. If the binder agrees, he is dragged back into the circle and the pact is made.
Sign[edit]
The binder's face appears arrogant and haughty, rarely without a wicked grin whose teeth have been sharpened unnaturally. Their shadow sometimes dances with the appearance of snake-like limbs coming off of them, unseen upon their actual body.
Influence[edit]
Phizbirro implores the binder to be prideful and unrepentant in all things, embracing hedonism and impulsiveness. Consequences are for the weak, take what you want and give no care to what happens. After all, you only live once!
Granted Abilities[edit]
Curse of Want[edit]
As a mind-affecting language-dependent supernatural ability, you can convince others to give into their hedonism and greed. You can use either miser's envySpC or suggestion. You can use this once every 5 rounds.
Devouring Serpent[edit]
You can make an attack roll with reach, using shadowy tendrils which spill forth and bite your opponent. This deals 1d6 damage + your Charisma modifier in damage with a 20/×2 critical, and you receive half the damage you deal as temporary hp. Temporary hp overlaps, it does not stack. This is considered a manufactured weapon and your attack roll is either Strength or Dexterity based.
Greed is Good[edit]
You always take what you want. When subject to any buff or helpful spell or effect, you always take the maximum effect, such as the amount healed by a cure light wounds spell.
Taunt[edit]
You may use the Goad feat, using your binder level as your BAB for the purpose of feat pre-requisites.
