Area: Any not of selected alignment (see below) within 30’
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: No

The caster chooses one alignment (chaos, evil, good, law or neutral). All creatures not of this alignment (including neutral) within the area of a profanity spell suffer the following ill effects.

HD Effect
Equal to caster level Shaken
Up to caster level –1 Confused, shaken
Up to caster level –5 Frightened, confused, shaken

The effects are cumulative and concurrent. No saving throw is allowed against these effects.

Shaken: The creature becomes shaken for 1d6+1 rounds.

Confused: The creature becomes confused for 1d4+1 rounds.

Frightened: The creature becomes frightened for 1d4 rounds.

Creatures whose Hit Dice exceed your caster level are unaffected by profanity.
