The ground erupted into a swarm of spiked vines that wrapped the bugbear and squeezed until it was drained of blood and life.
Said to be a mere replication of a much more terrifying spell that draws upon an elder evil, this spell fortunately has no such connections. It draws lashing thorned vines to erupt from surfaces and attack in your steed.
In the act of casting this spell you can cause these vines to erupt out of any surface in range with a reach of up to 10 ft high (or 20 ft in natural terrain). These vines function as a two-handed spiked chain that you are proficient in and they immediately make a full attack action using your caster level for BAB and your mental ability modifier in place of Strength or Dexterity. By concentrating during the spell duration you can make additional full attack attempts.
You can perform any melee ability through the thorny vines including combat maneuvers such as grapple attempts. The vines strike as magic piercing weapons with a +2 bonus on disarm and grapple attempts.
Creatures can attack the vines (AC 10, hardness 5, with 5 hp/level) and sunder them. Doing so ends the spell prematurely.
